The combination of an Atlantic location and know how in naval equipment, meant the company was soon referential in the naval market for fresh water repairs and the manufacture of spare parts, exchangers and pumps.

Work and repairs bring Ntorreiro a great collection of plans and designs for international brands of naval equipment.

With the experience obtained in the repairs of faulty naval equipment, either due to faults in construction or the use of low quality materials, the company moved into the manufacture of its own brand – focussing on the naval market – for fresh water and hypochlorite generators.

The basic guide lines of our product design were:

• simple: any vessel owner able to handle and maintain the equipment
• compact
• high quality: high quality material such as AISI 316L, RG-10 and Nickel 90/10 guarantee a long life – over 15 years without repairs.
• convertible
• good price: excellent quality – price relationship.

In the 1990’s NTorreiro widened its market, with international networks and trade in new countries. A great demand led to the creation of two new companies, Galimeca and Metalúrgica Orro —both independent and specialised in mechanical work, boilermaking and welding.

The new international networks created a need to record and transfer the knowledge obtained both by the company and its contacts and distributors.

After success in the naval market with the generator Chloromar®, Ntorreiro undertook the challenge of focussing on a line of products for cleaning and disinfecting; the hugely successful new hypochlorite generators for use in swimming pools, hotels and institutes such as the Oceanographic Park at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, the largest in Europe and third largest in the World.
